Designed to transition students from the classroom to the workplace through real world IT projects, mentorship and training, ExperienceIT students learn in a working environment using technologies such as Java, .NET and QA.

U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow relaunched proposed legislation Monday aimed at encouraging businesses to bring jobs to America, with the hope that it will resonate with President Donald Trump’s platforms.
Stabenow (D-MI) reintroduced the “Bring Jobs Home Act” at GalaxE.Solutions in Downtown Detroit. Stabenow’s Bring Jobs Home Act will cut taxes for companies that move jobs and business activity back to America from another country, she said.
Without robust information sharing, the healthcare industry will be dead in its tracks. Unfortunately, even after decades of technological advances and increasing industry collaboration on standards adoption, some health information technology (HIT) systems still lack interoperability, preventing provider organizations from effectively tracking their performance, managing transitions of care and coordinating care.
Now in its second year, ExperienceIT is a training program developed and put forth by Detroit’s leading IT-focused companies, including: Quicken Loans, GalaxE.Solutions, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, DTE, Fathead, Marketing Associates and Title Source along with workforce agencies WIN and Detroit Employment Solutions Corp.
Detroit has experienced a net increase of 11,000 jobs since 2010, according to an April 2015 report from the Global Cities Initiative: a Joint Project of Brookings and JP Morgan Chase. Young people are flocking to the city; 19% of the population is made up of 25 to 34-year-olds.
