Software, tech firms go near Campus Martius<
So many new software and technology employees are moving in soon near Campus Martius Park that Quicken Loans boss Dan Gilbert suggested a new name for Woodward Avenue – Webward.
Quicken’s 1700 or so employees are to move into the Compuware Building, a major IT firm, in late summer, a New Jersey-based software firm, GalaxE.Solutions is starting now to hire what will become 500 new technology workers in the 1001 Woodward office tower.
As Quicken and GalaxE move in, Gilbert said downtown is developing as a technology hub.
“The best is yet to come”, Gilbert said this week.
“That’s how this stuff happens. And I think it’s going to happen very quickly, and it’s going to be very exciting, and we can’t wait to get down there”.
