HARTFORD, CONN (February 17, 2022) – Today, Mayor Luke Bronin joined GalaxE.Solutions Founder and CEO Tim Bryan and Girls For Technology (GFT) Co-Founder and President/CEO Sabrina Tucker-Barrett to announce a new partnership and program called “Pipeline 4.0”. As part of this partnership, GalaxE will commit to hiring 60 graduates of the Girls for Technology Service Desk Training Program for information technology jobs in the calendar year 2022. To help support this collaboration, the City of Hartford will provide a grant of up to $600,000 using American Rescue Plan funds.
This news follows GalaxE’s announcement that its Outsource to Hartford program would bring 180 new jobs from overseas to Hartford and would fill 80 of those positions through a workforce development program. GalaxE also emphasized that they would hire from a wide pool of talent, including residents of Hartford. GalaxE’s Outsource to Hartford program and its presence in Hartford began in 2019.
The Pipeline 4.0 program is a 10-week accelerator program that allows trainees to gain professional and technical skills through hybrid instruction, career coaching, mentorship, and more. The program also provides a stipend. Those who graduate from the program and fulfill all requirements will earn a job with GalaxE.Solutions and/or other corporate partners. Graduates will also earn a “Google Grow” certificate in information technology support upon completion of Pipeline 4.0. This program is co-ed, and no prior experience is necessary. Residents of Hartford between the ages of 18 and 29 who have a high school diploma or a GED equivalent are eligible to apply.

GalaxE.Solutions is a consulting firm specializing in professional technology services. Since the Outsource to Hartford initiative’s launch in 2019, it has already hired 220 employees. Girls for Technology is a Hartford-based nonprofit dedicated to addressing gender disparities in technology and engineering that has already provided programming and training to 2,000 people in the Hartford area.
