GalaxE.Solutions helped create ‘Winter Magic’ in Campus Martius this year, serving as a key sponsor of both the traditional Detroit Tree Lighting Ceremony and the 86th America’s Thanksgiving Parade. Longstanding traditions in the city, the events draw thousands to Detroit each winter.
GalaxE.Solutions CEO Tim Bryan was a featured speaker at the lighting of the 55-foot, 10,000-lb tree, which showcased more than 19,000 LED lights (and three miles of wire). In addition, 170,000 LED lights have been placed on 78 trees throughout Campus Martius and 32 trees along Woodward Avenue to bring the holiday spirit to one of America’s best urban parks.
For the Thanksgiving parade, GalaxE supported the Detroit Public Schools All-City High School Marching Band, comprised of the most talented student musicians and performers from s across Detroit. The band was invited to perform at the 2012 Olympic Games in London.
“We have been thrilled to be a part of the excitement centered around Campus Martius and Woodward Avenue with our downtown neighbors,” said Bryan. “We are a community focused on the continued growth and vitality of our great city and grateful to have an opportunity to support it.”
