GalaxE.Solutions CEO Tim Bryan joined Mike Finney of the Michigan Economic Development Council (MEDC), Detroit Free Press business reporter John Gallagher and JPMorgan Chase Michigan Market President Sarah L. McClelland at Techonomy Detroit on Wednesday, September 12 as part of a panel discussing jobs, growth and Michigan’s future. Hans-Werner Kaas of McKinsey served as moderator.
The discussion centered on recent proposals for revitalizing Michigan’s economy and available resources in the state upon which to capitalize, while also looking at job creation and business growth in metro Detroit.
“It is rewarding to be involved with an event such as Techonomy Detroit, which serves to shine a spotlight on the city and the opportunities that exist here,” said Bryan. “We are transforming Detroit into a major IT hub and exciting place to live and work.”
More than 1,000 individuals participated in Techonomy Detroit, an event held in conjunction with the Detroit Economic Club on the campus of Wayne State University.
About Techonomy
Techonomy is about an idea – that technology is firmly at the core of all economic and social progress. Our goal is to help leaders and citizens better understand the far-reaching potential of technology-enabled change and to see how this rapid transformation can be harnessed to accelerate progress, productivity and competitiveness. Techonomy Media Inc organizes the Annual Techonomy conference which brings together leaders to explore the role of tech driven change in business and society. It is not a tech conference, but a conference about how tech is changing everything else. Previous events included Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, Marc Benioff, Sean Parker, Jim Breyer, Jeffrey Katzenberg, Eric Schmidt, Neelie Kroes, Dan Hesse, Marissa Mayer, Craig Mundie, Esther Dyson and Hamadoun Toure.
