U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow relaunched proposed legislation Monday aimed at encouraging businesses to bring jobs to America, with the hope that it will resonate with President Donald Trump’s platforms.
Stabenow (D-MI) reintroduced the “Bring Jobs Home Act” at GalaxE.Solutions in Downtown Detroit. Stabenow’s Bring Jobs Home Act will cut taxes for companies that move jobs and business activity back to America from another country, she said.
GalaxE.Solutions, a worldwide leader in the development of custom software solutions, will help demonstrate how Detroit is “So Happy Together,” serving as a key sponsor of the 89th America’s Thanksgiving Parade, one of the largest and most spectacular parades in the United States.
GalaxE is dedicated to collaborating with Detroit’s IT leaders to train and hire for the city’s growing IT hub.
Detroit has experienced a net increase of 11,000 jobs since 2010, according to an April 2015 report from the Global Cities Initiative: a Joint Project of Brookings and JP Morgan Chase. Young people are flocking to the city; 19% of the population is made up of 25 to 34-year-olds.
